Authentic commercially used First Day Cover marking one of the most significant dates of the Japanese occupation of the Philippines - the proclamation of the Japanese-sponsored Second Philippine Republic on October 14, 1943.

Stamps: Complete three-value Kalayaan Nang Pilipinas (Freedom of the Philippines) set - 5c blue, 12c orange, and 17c rose - issued specifically to commemorate the establishment of the puppet republic under President Jose P. Laurel. Cancelled MAYNILA / OCT. 14 / 1943 / PILIPINAS - occupation-era Filipino-language postal markings that replaced the previous English cancels.

Cachet: Green triangular First Day cachet with sunburst design reading "Kalayaan Ng Pilipinas 1943."

Cover: Commercial window envelope from Provident Insurance Company of the Philippines, Regina Building, Manila - sent to Mr. Jaime H. Gomez, 704 Kawang Gawa, Manila. This is a genuine business piece actually mailed on the first day of issue, not a philatelist-created cover, lending it real documentary authenticity as a record of daily commercial life under Japanese occupation.

Condition: Expected aging and toning to envelope; some wrinkling around window opening. Stamps (N29-N31) are sound with clear cancels. Handwritten recipient name on reverse, no transit markings (local delivery).
