Issued in 1996 to raise awareness of breast cancer, this stamp launched a four-month public service campaign. Although it is the most common form of cancer in women, through education and awareness, breast cancer is no longer the death sentence it once was. This stamp not only raised awareness, but also provided a positive message - one of hope and survival.
