1992 - I Pledge Allegiance... Pane of 4 29c Postage Stamps - Sc# 2593 - MNH, OG

This is a booklet block of 4 stamps as pictured ~ Issued in 1992, the stamp honors of the 50th anniversary of The Pledge of Allegiance, that was officially adopted by the United States in 1942. It was first recited in 1892, in honor of the 400th anniversary of Columbus' discovery of America. Since then, it has undergone two alterations; in 1924, the phrase "the flag of the United States of America" was substituted for "my flag" and in 1954, the words "under God" were added by Congress.

These are real USPS postage stamps that are accepted by the USA Postal Service as payment for mail posted in the USA however the total rates on the stamps posted must equal or exceed the current appropriate postal mailing rate or extra postage must be paid.
