1978 Wildlife Conservation Owls Plate Block Of 4 15c Postage Stamps - MNH, OG - Sc# 1760-1763 - CX315

Plate Block of 4 stamps: On August 26, 1978 in Fairbanks AK; the Post Office Dept. issued this block of four depicting American owls -- long believed to be mysterious and wise. It pictures the Great Grey Owl, the largest of owls, and the Saw-whet Owl, which is one of the smallest. The Barred Owl can hoot to sound like a barking dog, and the Great Horned Owl is an aggressive predator which will attack any animal up to the size of a goose.

These are real USPS postage stamps that are accepted by the USA Postal Service as payment for mail posted in the USA however the total rates on the stamps posted must equal or exceed the current appropriate postal mailing rate or extra postage must be paid.

The stamp set shown in the picture is a stock photo and is likely not a picture of the exact stamp set you will receive and it may differ in plate number and/or orientation.
