This stamp was issued in 1972 as part of the National Parks series, depicting the Mount McKinley National Park. In 1980 Mount McKinley National Park was combined with the Denali National Monument. Originally the mountain was named Denali, then in 1897 it was named McKinley (after President William McKinley) in then in 2015 President Obama renamed the mountain to Denali. Mt Denali is the tallest mountain in North America.
