1960 A Lincoln Credo Plate Block of 4 4c Postage Stamps - MNH, OG - Sc# 1143
Issue Date: November 19, 1960. U.S. #1143, the fifth stamp in the American Credo series, features a quote by Abraham Lincoln - "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." The quote was taken from an April 1859 letter Lincoln wrote to Henry L. Pierce, about having to decline an invitation to attend a festival in Boston in honor of Thomas Jefferson's birthday.
These are real USPS postage stamps that are accepted by the USA Postal Service as payment for mail posted in the USA however the total rates on the stamps posted must equal or exceed the current appropriate postal mailing rate or extra postage must be paid.
