Posted two days prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor and the outbreak of hostilities in the Pacific.

Franked with 3¢, 5¢, and 10¢ Presidential series stamps (18¢ total) and canceled December 5, 1941.

Struck with purple "RETURNED TO SENDER - SERVICE SUSPENDED" marking following interruption of U.S. mail service to the Philippines after commencement of World War II hostilities.
