Striking illustrated commercial airmail cover from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Campello, Brockton, Massachusetts, cancelled March 13, 1938. The envelope features a detailed engraved illustration of the Edificio Diez - the grand multi-story headquarters of J. Diez & Hermanos, C. por A., one of Santo Domingo's prominent commercial firms - complete with period automobiles and pedestrians on the street below, making this a miniature work of 1930s Caribbean commercial art. Franked with the 10 centavos Cuadrante Solar airmail stamp and 3 centavos Merino centenary commemorative, tied by Santo Domingo Correo Aereo cancel. Addressed to the Geo. W. Keith Company, Campello, Brockton, Massachusetts - a significant New England shoe manufacturing firm, confirming genuine commercial correspondence between Dominican and American businesses.

Reverse shows decorative teal envelope interior at flap area; some toning and minor ink spots consistent with age. Front displays well with the illustrated building design as the centerpiece.
