Attractive FAM Route 6 first flight cover with notable commercial sender provenance. Return address is W. R. Grace & Co., 7 Hanover Square, New York, N.Y. - the famous Grace shipping and trading company with deep Caribbean commercial roots, making this a genuinely appropriate business cover for the Dominican Republic route. Miami, Fla. cancel December 4, 1931, 7 AM. Franked with a pair of 5 cent Winged Globe airmail stamps (Scott C12), totaling 10 cents - an attractive matched pair franking. Features the diamond-shaped "First Flight Air Mail / Miami / Nuevitas / San Pedro de Macoris / F.A.M. Route 6" cachet in black ink, with "Via First Air Mail" printed on the envelope.

Addressed to Mr. Henry S. Parsons, c/o J. Armenteras & Company, San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic - a genuine business addressee rather than a prepared collector cover. Dominican Republic arrival backstamp December 9, 1931 on reverse confirms flight carriage. An AA Stamp Shop advertising card is inserted inside the envelope, adding period philatelic interest.

Condition: Flap has been torn open with some loss at upper left of reverse. Please examine photos carefully. Front presents very well with stamps, cancel, and cachet showing clearly.
