Franked with Scott C12 (5¢ Winged Globe) and C11 (5¢ Beacon on Rocky Mountains airmail), both tied by St. Thomas machine cancel. Diamond-shaped FAM Route 6 first flight cachet in purple, showing flying boat illustration with route points St. Thomas / San Pedro de Macoris / Nuevitas. Purple arrival/transit handstamp on face. Addressed to William M. McFarlan, Lista de Correos, San Pedro de Macoris - with "Please return under cover to me" notation on reverse indicating a cachet collector's cover sent for the flight. Return address rubber-stamped on reverse: East Downingtown, Pennsylvania. Roessler cacheted cover (maker's imprint on reverse flap). Minor toning consistent with age, overall very good appearance.
