Distinctive FAM Route 6 first flight cover with several features that set it apart from typical examples. Mailed from Downingtown, Pennsylvania November 30, 1931 - a Pennsylvania origin point rather than the more commonly seen Miami or Caribbean departure covers. Franked with the 20 cent green Map airmail stamp (Scott C9), a less frequently seen franking on FAM 6 covers compared to the standard C10. Features the diamond-shaped "First Flight Air Mail / Miami / Nuevitas / San Pedro de Macoris / F.A.M. Route 6" cachet in black ink.

Eye-catching "RUSH / URGENT" handstamp at lower left adds immediate visual interest - an unusual marking not often seen on prepared first flight covers. Multiple "Via Air Mail" handstamps appear on both front and reverse, reflecting the routing instructions applied along the way.

Addressed to Sr. Administrador de Correos, San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, West Indies - directed to the local Postmaster himself rather than the more typical c/o Postmaster addressing. Condition is good overall with light aging and general toning consistent with age.
