1929 FAM 6 First Flight Cover Santo Domingo Dominican Republic to San Juan PR

FAM Route 6 inaugural first flight cover, January 10, 1929, flown from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to San Juan, Porto Rico on Pan American Airways' historic Caribbean airmail inaugural. Franked with Dominican Republic stamps - the 10 centavos blue airmail map stamp and 2 centavos red Alcazar de Colon definitive - correct franking for the Dominican Republic segment of the route. Features the blue "Correo Aereo" airmail cachet with biplane vignette and the printed "First Flight FAM 6, Florida - Porto Rico" cachet. Blue rectangular transit handstamps on face reference intermediate route points. Addressed to Geo. T. Street, San Juan, Porto Rico - Street was one of the foremost Caribbean first flight cover specialists of the era and his covers are sought by collectors in their own right.

Reverse features the original Pan American Airways "Regular Passenger and Mail Service" printed envelope with full Caribbean route map showing the complete FAM 6 corridor from Florida through the island chain to San Juan. San Juan arrival backstamp dated January 10, 1929 on reverse confirms same-day delivery. Street's printed identification label present on reverse.

Some toning consistent with age; transit handstamps on face are visible but part of the genuine postal history record. Displays well overall.
