1929 FAM 6 First Flight Cover Port au Prince Haiti to Santo Domingo PAA Map

Exceptional FAM Route 6 inaugural first flight cover, January 9, 1929, flown from Port-au-Prince, Haiti to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on Pan American Airways' historic Caribbean airmail inaugural. Franked with Haitian stamps - the 10 centimes Citadelle and 50 centimes portrait definitives - correct franking for the Haiti segment of the route. Features the red circular "Avion" airmail cachet with biplane vignette, printed "First Flight FAM 6, Florida - Porto Rico" cachet, and the French-language "Premier Vol" (First Flight) circular handstamp applied by the Haitian post office. Addressed to Geo. T. Street, care of Pan American Airways, Inc., Santo Domingo - Street was one of the foremost Caribbean first flight cover specialists of the era and his covers are sought by collectors in their own right.

Reverse is a standout: features the original Pan American Airways "Regular Passenger and Mail Service" printed envelope with full Caribbean route map showing the complete FAM 6 corridor from Florida through the island chain to San Juan, Puerto Rico. Santo Domingo arrival backstamp dated January 10, 1929 confirms next-day delivery. Street's printed identification label present listing the covered route segments.

Overall very good condition with some toning consistent with age. A visually striking and historically significant piece from the FAM 6 inaugural.
