Genuine 1924 Mount Everest Expedition postcard, dispatched by postal runner from Rongbuk Base Camp, Tibet to Calcutta, India for mailing. The address side displays the striking blue Mount Everest Expedition cinderella label alongside the pink circular Rongbuk Base Camp 1924 cachet, franked with an India 1½ Anna KGV stamp cancelled at Calcutta 24 October 1924, with British Empire Exhibition slogan cancel alongside.

The picture side identifies expedition leader Gen. Hon. C.G. Bruce C.B. and shows a dramatic photograph of Everest from the Rongbuk Valley, Tibet, with a printed facsimile signature of Captain J.B.L. Noel, the expedition's official cinematographer. A printed notice advertises the premiere of Noel's expedition film at the Scala Theatre, London, November 1924.

Addressed to J. Woodcock, St. Helens, Lancashire, England. Card shows light age toning consistent with its age but presents well overall.

A genuine piece of Everest expedition postal history from the famous 1924 attempt on which George Mallory and Andrew Irvine disappeared near the summit.
