1866 Kashmir Scott #1 1/2 Anna Unused? Indian Feudatory State Imperforate

Offered is an example of Kashmir Scott #1, the ½ Anna value from this classic Indian feudatory state issue. Printed in deep blue/indigo on native handmade paper, imperforate as issued, circular design type.

Condition and Status: This example presents an interesting specialist puzzle. The stamp appears possibly unused - no definitive cancel is visible on the face. What appears in the margin and along one side is consistent with ink smear or bleed from the printing process rather than a cancellation. The reverse shows no obvious cancel penetration through the native paper, which would typically be expected with a genuine used example. That said, some marginal ink warrants careful examination by the buyer. Condition is consistent with these primitively printed issues - some ink irregularity and smearing inherent to the printing method.

Authenticity: Offered as appearing genuine based on visual examination. Not expertized. Buyer should satisfy themselves as to authenticity. Priced accordingly.
