On July 29, 1994 in Chama, NM., the USPS issued these five booklet stamps of locomotives. The story of the railroads goes hand in hand with the great economic growth of the early United States. Each of the five locomotives in this series was made in America, and each is representative of a decade during the last 50 years of the 19th century - regarded as the golden age of American railroading. Included here are the Hudson's General, McQueen's Jupiter, Eddy's #242, Ely's #10, and Buchanan's #999.
