2009 Thanksgiving Day Parade Strip Of 4 44c Postage Stamps - Sc# 4417-4420 - MNH, OG - DC137

On September 9 2009 at the Macy's department store New York City, NY; the USPS issued four se-tenant stamps, on a pane of 20, featuring a continuous design of a parade, including onlookers, giant balloons, a marching band and horses. The first stamp starting on the left, shows a scene of the NY parade at the intersection of West 45th Street and Broadway; a giant bear balloon flies over the front row of trombonists in a marching band. The second stamp show more trombonists, the drum major. The third stamps pictures two trumpeters and a sousaphone player, and the fourth shows the horse and cowboy with a lasso and a large turkey balloon with the balloon handlers.

These are real USPS postage stamps that are accepted by the USA Postal Service as payment for mail posted in the USA however the total rates on the stamps posted must equal or exceed the current appropriate postal mailing rate or extra postage must be paid.
