On June 27, 1973 in San Mateo, CA. the USPS honored Amadeo Peter Giannini, credited as the inventor of many modern banking practices. Most notably, Giannini was one of the first bankers to offer banking services to middle-class Americans, rather than simply the upper class, and pioneered statewide branch banking. Amadeo Giannini left school at age 13, but at his death in 1949, he owned the largest bank in the U.S. and was head of the largest private banking system in the world - the Bank of America. This stamp is often considered part of the Prominent American series, though was issued after the series was completed.

These are real USPS postage stamps that are accepted by the USA Postal Service as payment for mail posted in the USA however the total rates on the stamps posted must equal or exceed the current appropriate postal mailing rate or extra postage must be paid.

The stamp set shown in the picture is a stock photo and is likely not a picture of the exact stamp set you will receive in that it may differ in plate number and/or orientation.
