1995 Earth Day Block of 4 32c Postage Stamps - MNH, OG - Sc# 2954
On April 20, 1995 in Washington, DC., the USPS issued this se-tenant of four designs of the Kids Care About the Environment stamps were the result of a nationwide contest held by the USPS and McDonald's restaurants. More than 150,000 schoolchildren ages 8 to 13 entered their artwork in the competition. The Kids Care stamps marked the first time that the artist's name, as well as age, appeared on each stamp.
These are real USPS postage stamps that are accepted by the USA Postal Service as payment for mail posted in the USA however the total rates on the stamps posted must equal or exceed the current appropriate postal mailing rate or extra postage must be paid.
